Every end of year, many people make New Year resolutions about issues of significance to them. They resolve, promise, vow and make declarations to do or not do something or certain things in the new year and, possibly, beyond. What drives a person’s decision to make a New Year resolution? Is it the culmination of a year-long introspection and self-reflection or is it a frenzied declaration based on a sudden realization that the clock is about to strike twelve, marking the end of one year and the beginning of another? It should not matter, as long as the resolution is successfully implemented.
