More About Attorney Okasili

During the initial phase of her legal education, Eshigo Okasili demonstrated remarkable commitment by juggling a full-time job, attending law school part-time, and volunteering with organizations such as African-American Family Services and Legal Aid in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

As her legal education continued, she shifted gears and focused on her studies, attending law school full-time while working part-time. During this period, Eshigo was able to gain firsthand experience as a student-attorney under the guidance of licensed attorneys. Eshigo also welcomed two children into her life during this journey. In 2003, her hard work paid off as she graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN.

Since she began practicing law, Attorney Okasili has made it a point to operate a client-centered practice. She is dedicated to serving her clients, which to her means providing them with informed guidance, setting realistic expectations for them, and working diligently to resolve matters outside of court whenever suitable. In instances where litigation becomes necessary, Attorney Okasili’s successful track record speaks for itself.

Eshigo's professional qualifications include being trained as a child counsel and court-appointed guardian ad litem, which enables her to offer legal support and advocacy for individuals with diminished mental capacity in Child In Need of Assistance (CINA) cases. Additionally, she has training as a civil and divorce mediator and as a family and civil collaborative practitioner, enabling her to facilitate peaceful resolutions.

Also of note, Attorney Okasili exhibits cultural competence and empathy in her interactions with all clients, and she specializes in assisting clients with international backgrounds, providing cross-border services that meet their unique needs and circumstances.
